Sweet and Sour Cabbage Recipe
What You Need
4 bacon slices, diced
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup vinegar
1 medium head red cabbage, shredded
1 small onion, finely chopped
What To Do
1. In a skillet, cook bacon until crisp; reserve drippings.
2. Combine 1 tablespoon drippings in a crockpot with remaining ingredients, except cooked bacon.
3. Cover and cook on low 6 1/2 to 7 hours or until cabbage is tender.
4. Spoon into serving bowl; sprinkle with reserved bacon.
