Crockpot Cornbread Stuffing Recipe

What You Need
• 1 pound chorizo sausage
• 1 onion, chopped
• 3 stalks celery, chopped
• 3 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 (16-oz.) package cornbread stuffing crumbs
• 1/3 cup butter, melted
• 1/2 teaspoon dried sage leaves
• 1/4 teaspoon pepper
• 2 cups chicken broth
• 1 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
• 1 cup pecan halves, toasted

What To Do
1. Crumble sausage into heavy skillet and cook with onion, garlic, and celery over medium heat 8-10 minutes, until sausage is browned. Stir frequently. Drain well.

2. Combine sausage mixture, cornbread crumbs, butter, sage and pepper in 4- to 5-quart crockpot.

3. Pour broth over mixture and toss gently.

4. Cover; cook on low 3-4 hours.

5. Stir in cheese and pecans.

6. Cover; let stand in crockpot until cheese melts, about 10 minutes. Serve.
