This Red Rice recipe is for the crockpot and makes 6-8 servings.
What You Need
5 slices bacon, cooked, crumbled
1 large onion, coarsely chopped
2 15-oz. cans chopped tomatoes
1 cup converted rice
1/2 cup cooked chopped ham
Salt and pepper, to taste
1/8 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
What To Do
1. Cook onion in bacon grease just until softened.
2. Combine all ingredients in crockpot.
3. Cover and cook on low 6-7 hours, or until rice is tender but not mushy.
