Great Slow Cooker Baked Beans Recipe

What You Need
1 package dry navy beans
4 tablespoons granulated sugar
2 scant teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1/2 cup molasses
1 2-oz. piece salt pork
1 medium whole onion, peeled
What To Do
1. Soak beans overnight; drain. Place beans in a large pot with enough water to cover by one inch; boil 10 minutes. Drain.
2. Add onion to bottom of crockpot, then pour beans over top. Add sugar, salt, pepper and mustard.
3. Dissolve molasses in 1 1/2 cups hot water and add to crockpot. Add more hot water to cover top of beans, then add salt pork to top of mixture.
4. Cover; cook on high 6-8 hours. Check every couple hours and add water as necessary.
