Crockpot Split Pea Soup Recipe
 
What You Need
• 1 16-oz. package dried green split peas, rinsed
• 1 hambone or 2 cups diced ham
• 3 carrots, peeled, sliced
• 1 medium onion, chopped
• 2 stalks celery (with leaves), chopped
• 2 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 bay leaf
• 1/4 cup fresh chopped parsley
• 1 tablespoon seasoned salt
• 1/2 teaspoon fresh pepper
• 1 1/2 quarts hot water

What To Do
1. Layer ingredients in crockpot and pour in water. Do NOT stir.

2. Cover; cook on high 4 to 5 hours or on low 8 to 10 hours until peas are very soft.

3. Remove bay leaf (and bone if using hambone). Serve garnished with croutons.
