Spicy Wine Pot Roast Recipe
|
Combine a dry red wine with Dijon mustard and Worchestershire sauce in this Spicy Wine Pot Roast recipe.
What You Need
Salt and pepper
1 small onion, chopped
1 (3/4-oz.) package brown gravy mix (dry)
1 cup water
1/4 cup ketchup
1/4 cup dry red wine
2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
4 pounds beef pot roast
What To Do
1. Sprinkle pot roast with salt and pepper to taste and place into crockpot.
2. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over meat.
3. Cover crockpot; cook on low setting 8-10 hours.
4. Remove meat and slice to serve.
Note: To use sauce that remains in crockpot as a gravy, thicken with flour dissolved in a little water.
