Crockpot Italian Roast Recipe

This Crockpot Italian Roast Recipe calls for a 3- to 4-pound roast and cooks all days in the slow cooker.
What You Need
3 to 4 lb. beef rump roast
1 4-oz. can sliced mushrooms, drained
1 (1 1/2 oz.) package spaghetti sauce seasoning mix
1 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt
Pepper
1 onion, diced
1 8-oz. can tomato sauce
For Gravy
2 tablespoons butter, melted
2 tablespoons flour
2 tablespoons tomato paste
What To Do
1. Season roast with garlic powder, plus salt and pepper to taste.
2. Place roast in crockpot; add mushrooms and onion.
3. Combine spaghetti seasoning mix with tomato sauce and pour over ingredients in crockpot.
4. Cover; cook 8-10 hours on low heat.
Gravy: At end of cooking time, the roast drippings in bottom of crockpot can be thickened for a nice gravy. Combine melted butter, flour and tomato paste into a paste. Stir into liquid in crockpot. Cover and cook on high until thickened, about 30 minutes.
