This Crockpot Scrabble recipe (sometimes called "trail mix," "Chex mix," or "trash") is great for snacking anytime. Set out a big bowl for get-togethers, or divvy it up into Ziploc bags for individual, easily transportable portions.
What You Need
2 cups Wheat Chex
2 cups Corn Chex
2 cups Rice Chex
3 cups thin pretzel sticks
1 13-oz. can salted peanuts or assorted mixed nuts
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1 teaspoon celery salt
1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
1/3 cup melted butter
1/3 cup Worcestershire sauce
What To Do
1. In a large bag, mix together pretzels, cereals, and nuts along with garlic salt, celery salt, seasoned salt and grated cheese. Shake to mix.
2. Empty bag into large mixing bowl and sprinkle melted butter and Worcestershire sauce over all, then gently mix by hand.
3. Transfer ingredients into crockpot. Cook on low 3-4 hours.
4. Spread heated scrabble onto paper towels and let dry for one hour. Stored in airtight containers, will keep for several weeks.
